3D Moment of a Couple Simulation
Physics Principle
A couple consists of two equal and opposite forces (F and -F) acting at different points on a rigid body.
Moment of couple = r₂ × F - r₁ × F = (r₂ - r₁) × F = AB × F
Key properties:
- The resultant force of a couple is zero
- The moment depends only on the distance between the forces
- The moment is independent of the reference point
