Current angle: 30°
Current field: 800 G
Magnetic moment (m): 0.40 A·m²
Torque (τ): 0.016 Nm

Part (b): Work Done

Work done moving from θ=0° (most stable) to θ=180° (most unstable):

W = Um(180°) - Um(0°) = 2mB

Work done: 0.064 J

Part (c): Solenoid Equivalent

Replacing the bar magnet with a solenoid having:

Cross-sectional area = 2 × 10⁻⁴ m², 1000 turns, same magnetic moment (0.40 A·m²)

ms = NIA

Current required: 2 A
