This simulation demonstrates the electric field of a uniformly charged thin spherical shell:
Outside the shell (r > R): E = q/(4πε₀r²) (same as point charge at center)
Inside the shell (r < R): E = 0 (no field inside)
Total charge on shell: q = 4πR²σ
The results are derived from Gauss's law and demonstrate the inverse-square law dependence of Coulomb's law.
